missy rocked the house in brisbane

the Brisbane concert absolutely rocked last night! :)
many people probably hadnt heard serena ryder before. but when we did alot of people bought her single. she was suprisingly good. her voice control was absolutely excellent. the only funny this was the way she danced. it was like she had ants in her pants. there was lots of antisipation leading up to missy, you could see everyone sitting on the edge of their seats, watching any movement on stage. the crowd was unbelievable when she finally came on. the set was awesome, the lighting was awesome but missy higgins... looking gorgeous as ever sang her heart out. it was unbelievable. she sounded better then on her albums. heaps of people yelled out stuff to her. missy told them to shutup it was really funny. everyone was dissapointed tho because she didnt do a signing.. alot of us got serena ryders signiture but not missys. another thing was the concert went a bit late.. past the last train times so alot of people were stuck without a way to get home. the best bit was at the end. missy left the stage and the crowd went berzerk, eveyone was claping and cheering and whisteling, there were even people stomping their feet. it seemed like forever before she came out again, then she did scar and finally special two.
it was my first concert. and it was way more then i expected. i didnt know how small the convention centre was. so we thought we had crappy tickets. they werent. we could even see her face. i'm still excited. now i've had a taste of missy live i cant get enough. i jsut wanna see her again and again. it was pretty funny though, coz the amount of dykes that turned up! me included.
anyways i must be off now. missy rocks!!! woot

It was definately a bloody good night! I was very lucky, cos i was able to sit back and relax and just look up. I was 2nd row, right infront of her piano.. so it was awesome! so relaxing and i could see everything! How good was the mobile phones? Everyone had their mobile phones on and waving around for when Missy played "Nightminds" and she loved it :)

An awesome night, im looking forward to the many many more to come!

Hi this is the first time i have posted on here but have to agree completely that Missy was fantastic in Brisbane.Im from Sydney and made the trek to brisbane especially to see her and have to say that there was no disappointment at all.Oh and the boots were great too LOL :D

It was an amazing concert! The mobile phones looked awesome and when Missy said we looked like little elves - that was so cute! I loved the comment about boots - "have you noticed how wearing boots makes you more confident?" It was cute how shy she is - I had no idea of that.

I want to go to the concert all over again and relive it again for the first time, if that makes any sense. At least I know what I mean ;) :D

I loved Serena's voice - I'd never heard of her before. She was awesome singing acapella and the notes at the beginning of her cover of 'At Last' were just amazing!

Thanks for those downloads Shenelle, much appreciated. I don't know exactly how long she performed for, isn't it usually about an hour or more? Yeah, the boot thing was cute. I wish I had the entire concert on dvd so I could go back and watch it over and over again. *is proud to say she was a part of the stomping clan*. The guys next to me were showing me how red their hands were from all the clapping to get them to play an encore. The Convention centre really isn't that small. When you take a good long walk around the place its actually huge, and when you take into account the size of all the rooms. I love it.

The concert was awesome! Missy is so great live ^_^. It was the second time i'd seen her perform, the first time was when she supported John Butler trio.
It was defininity worth the $40!! I can't wait until she tours again. =]

i was only dissapointed with the no signing coz my friends were so psyched up about getting her autograph!!and we got serenas so we were hoping we'd get missy's too. i waved my mobile phone!! that was really awesome, it was so pretty. i would have loved to be right up front. i took photos (even tho we werent sposed to.. shh) but they didnt turn out very well. coz i didnt have a flash. and my zoom was kinda crappy. she just looks like a blob in the shape of missy and you cant see her face... at least theres sum good pics in the gallery :) i couldnt believe it was only $40 i was stoked! my mum hated the idea of me ever going to any concert but she was actually jealous that i went and not her. i told her how many gay chicks were there... she was jealous about that too. perve fest!! wouldnt it be awesome to get that on dvd??? i'd replay it over and over... i could never get sick of missy. i was on the side with all the boring peopel (well most of them) hardly anyone was clapping or making noise. me and my friends felt a bit out of place being so noisey, but hey you only live once. and hopefully we'll see missy more then once too.

Its great to see u all enjoyed it so much! It was definately a great way to start off the tour! I had perfect seating - loved it! there was noody sitting in front of us, so we had out feed stretched out and laying across seats! lol

Yeah it was really awesome. She did Peachy, Burn, Too Much For One Bed, Unbroken, and that's all I can remember off the top of my head. Check some of the other threads about this show, they should tell you. I was hoping she'd play Drop the Mirror or Blind Winter but alas.

That's right. I was trying to remember who posted that thread that they didn't like Drop The Mirror, thanks for refreshin my memory. What have you got against Delta Goodrem?
