Ok, I thought I would come on here and explain this one!

I know many of you are wondering (Missy included) why Ben gets such an applause when his name is mentioned or when he does his drum solo in Cactus...... Weeelllllllll...

It started of with a little convo with Ben and I and he was saying that he gets really nervous when doing his solo bit. He is a bit shy, so I got as many people as I could to cheer him on! This then got bigger and bigger and now its REALLY noticable.

It soon spread into ppl cheering for Ben whenever his name was mentioned!

Hence the start of the Ben Fan Club.

I may have started it, but I wanted to see if I kept my mouth shut at a couple of gigs and listened to the crowd - I was amused as he has alot of fans regardless :)

Go Ben! Now u will have to find some dedicated fan who will start a fan forum about you. (NO, I am NOT putting my hand up for this one) I do think you are great, but I have enough on my plate! Sorry - Im sure there are plenty of others!

In all seriousness - I think he loves all the attention!

no offence to ben... but i find him to be the weakest in the band..

ohhhhhh - now that was UNCALLED for! You have to back that up with reasons why! Hes brilliant! Love his work!

one - his drum solo is generally pretty plain... as is most the drums in each tune...

josh absolutely shreds in some tunes and has more style bout his guitar than ben on drums

brett is weaker than josh also, but he has a bit more style bout his play again, plus his solos generally have a lil more to them, also his old intro to casualty used to be pretty mad

but yeh, i find josh to be a fair bit above the others.. im not tryin to be disrespectful, just honest. but they are talented musicians in their own right

I can't judge them on playing with Missy. I think Ben does his job well, and that's all he needs to do. If Ben came out and started playing like Alex Van Halen don't you think it might ruin the show a bit? We are there to see Missy, not for the band to prove how good they are.

ALSO - Ive watched him play bongs whilst playing drums with his other hand whilst playing something else (cant remember) but i know i couldnt do that if it tried - so therefore - if GOD cant do it, and BEN can - hes awesome! ok!

caught missy's performance june 8 in new york. forgot drummer's name. here, all i read is a first name, ben. maybe a last name will resonate.

the drummer was quite a character, more comedic with facial expressions and a playful physicality to his drumming. had one or two solo opportunities during the show. did not exploit such opportunities. merely played a few "riffs" that lasted no longer than 15 seconds each. i surmise that he'd prefer missy shine, and she shone brightly throughout.

I saw him and Brett Canning about eleventimes, playing in a Cat Stevens tribute show by Darren Coggan last year. He's such an awesome guitarist!!!
On their last performance, brett wore a bandana on his head and Ben had on these ridiculously huge sunnies! Twas really funny! The two of them are obviously a total hoot when they get together!
