How quickly Sydney has deteriorated. Tonight, I went to my local *The Ranch* Nth Ryde. Havnt been there in ages. It was my hope that the trouble would be elsewhere but I anticipated that maybe there'd be some there. No doubt I was right. I noticed about five fellas of mediterranean appearance. It wasn't long before they were accosting girls on the dance floor. Then, with no warning one of them shouldered me for no reason. He then says.. 'Oi bro, you wanna start shit... Why bump into me for'. I didn't say anything, I just kept walking. Meanwhile another one of his mates pushes me in the chest as I tried to walk away. Again, I didn't do anything. Then they start having a dig at some of my mates that were there. These guys had done nothing.

Before the riots, I was already sick and tired of certain individuals causing shit *no matter what nationality*. My best friend, his sis and a couple of cousins were assaulted by around 30 fellas of meditteranian appearance just a few months ago. That sent shivers down my spine. Now with a reason (Nulla Riots) I fear the worst.

oh...wow. be strong dude, it'll be ok. youre definitely not the only person to go through this - i fully screwed up being friends with a really great girl this way last year and we didnt speak for like 8 months cos i stupidly told her i was in love with her. i think the best thing you can do is not make too big of a deal of it yourself- you said you feel sick just thinking about it, but its important to think about just, still treating her like a nice person and treating yourself like a nice person too. its a pretty weird situation for her to be in too but she sounds cool so just have faith that things will work out between you too.
nowadays, me and my friend are back to being great buddies and its just another one of those tough learning experiences that comes with being gay.

I agree with tinkers, i think it's something a lot of women have been through. I've been through it and it was hard for awhile but we both knew we didn't want to lose our great frienship. we just needed space from each other and the chance to re-define out r/ship, now 1 year later I can't imagine her not being one of my best friends and the thought of anything happening with her, ick!! your friendship changes and you need to give it the time and space to do just that, but stick in there... if you're friendship is meant to be it will be... :)
