Well, I just thought I would come on and post on here about last nights concert! WOAH what a concert it was!

The nights events went something like this:

After a huge rush straight from work to get home and quickly get changed, we headed off to the venue.. being extreemly early as we were, we were surprised to find people already queued up waiting to get in! After waiting an hour and a half outside, we were finally let in through the gates, only to wait another 1/2 hour inside! Eventually the doors were pulled back and the people flooded the room!

There we eagerly waited for Missy to come on. The Support Act 'The Red Paintings'.. was.. how do you say... rather unusual.. with people that painted on 2 huge canvasses whilst listening to them. This along with a panda that blows bubbles, a huge statue of the Virgin Mary, and a voodoo doll of each member of their band. After standing through 10 songs of theirs Missy eventually came out and wowed the cheering crowd. This being her 1st concert on her first ever own tour, she was a little nervous, but that didnt stop her from belting out the tunes! One after the other, they came rolling out! She brought her band with her and that was their first ever live performance together! With members Brett, Ben and Josh, they all made a wonderful concert!

It was a great concert filled with every song from her album (in exception of 'They werent there') and numerous songs that Missy has written herself through the years! All of them were spectacular also. I now have lots more song stuck in my head! And of course she sang 'Moses' which is a cover, but Missy does so well!

The concert ended at midnight and all supporters were thoroughly satisfied!

All in all, a great concert and I had wonderful time! Im sure that Missy will be just as good tonight at Troccadero! I cant wait!

I will post some photos of last nights concert on this thread very soon! All in all a great night!

If you also went to this concert, please post what you thought of it. We would love to hear your comments and thoughts!

Cheers

I went to the concert last night and it was AMAZING. I am so excited for Missy and all that I think she will acheive. She is so down to earth for someone who has already acheived so much, especially in so little time. I really enjoyed the song that she said the organ sounded 'cheesy' to. I think it may have been called Peachy? It was great. Except now I want a copy!! I wish her al the best.

Yes, it was a cover!

The song is called 'Mad World'.

It was originally done by 'Tears for Fears', written by Kurt Smith.

Hope that helps you out a bit!

ooh well this isn't as good as being at the concert but my CD came this morning all the way from oz yay http://missyhiggins.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif
wow shenelle i can see what you mean you were real close to the stage great pics thanks for sharing them I'm incredibly jealous *sigh* but i will wait in hopes that Missy will do more over here in the UK and that i manage to get tickets before they sell out http://missyhiggins.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
and chester the song mad world has been covered by gary jules which made number one in the UK and the USA but if you want to hear a definative version in my humble opinion the one Alex Parks did would make the hairs on your neck stand up
you only get a few seconds of the songs on here but it will give you a flavour http://missyhiggins.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

Hey Shenelle,
Great pics. Am eagerly awaiting the announcement of Missy's solo gig in Perth in November... so far she only has a date supporting the Finn Bros.
And btw, that Mad World song did pretty well here in Aust, it was also on the soundtrack to Donnie Darko... that's how I know it anyway.
