The bassist i does some awesome little intros, but the best adlib from the band is a few things the guitarist does in a few songs.

at first i wasn't too sure about the band - would prefer missy and the keyboard....but....they were damm good especially on sat night...at some points the drums could have not been there but either way they seemed to add a little more atmosphere and josh seemed to excited numerous girls around me on sat night...

At the Gov gig i wasn't too impressed with Josh...he seemed to struggle alot, but it may have just been some dodgy soundboard-ness. Cuz I've seen him do the acoustic thang before and he seemed to really take to that...

They seemed pretty tight though, so good on 'em. Personally i think Missy can do it on her own, as someone else has said...but the band works well enough!

Sweeeeeeet. I'm glad there's a board for band talk. Fell in love with Josh since I got a hold of my first Waifs record (which was "Up All Night"). I'm now in the process of making enough money so I can purchase their whole back catalogue :P Josh has got some scintillating skills (ooh, alliteration!) on acoustic guitar and all of his guitar work is top rate on the "Up All Night" album. When I saw him on stage with Missy at the Arias, I just about fainted.

I don't know the rest of the band (haven't had the privilege of seeing Missy live, let alone with the band) but they all look like good blokes from the pics. Thanks Shenelle :D

In fact, the whole crew are lovely. U cant forget the roadies and the people that are behind the scenes. (tour managers, merchandise, lighting, sound engineering, the list goes on and on) so yeah, they are all an awesome group!

Yeah behind the scenes people rock...I remember the backstage crew of one of my school productions - top bunch of people. And I've been a "roadie" for some of my friends at small school gigs and stuff, it's loads of fun :)

Hey I reckon you must be on the turps or something.

Josh is such an awesome guitarist and he is so genuine. I am so apprieciative to have met him afterwards at a few gigs. All the qualities that we love about Missy I can honestly say that Josh possess ten fold.

Also Ben and Brett are fantastic too, there is no way in the world you can say that seeing Missy without the band would be better or even on par with seeing her solo. NO WAY! I don't even want to think about Cactus without Ben's drum solo!
Plus Missy does a number of songs solo anyway - that way we get the experience of both her captivating emotion and some wonderful music to our ears, all in one set!

This is my longest post ever...I never post, I hate to....but I couldn't let this one go!

nicely said Nat..... thats VERY true. I have seen some gigs where Missy did it without the band.. and even though she is good, the band just compliment her so much!

In the very beginning before Missy had the band she did some shows, and so ive experienced both with and without the band.

They are all awesome fellows and are as genuine as they come. From the conversations ive had with each of them, they are so lovely and have a great sense of humour, as Missy herself does also. Its quite amazing to hear the stories from each of the band members and to hear about what its like where they are now..

Im not taking any credit away from Missy, but credit must also be made to the boys (and Rachel too.. I think they should get Rachel as a perminant thing, as she really added depth to the songs.. 3 cheers for Rachel).

Full credit to the whole team, Missy, Band, and of course the people who always get forgotten, the people who make everything function and run smoothly, Emma, Bailey, Casey, and the various lighting and sound engineers... the whole damn lot of you..

I swear her band (ie The Waistcoats) are the perfect accompanying act! Theyre talented enough to be noticed but never take the shine off the star of the show ie Missy! Theyre very tight and performance wise, sound! Coutos to the drummer 2! hes awesome.
