Hello All,

I am just writing in relation to Homebake which is in Sydney!

Its on the 4th (sat) of December 2004.

Im going to drive down there, and Im looking for some other people to acompany me on my road-trip.

It will be awesome!

It will be awesome! We will leave Friday afternoon and come back either afterwards, or on the Sunday.. (travelling times depend on the passengers)..

im definatly going to homebake. i went last year & it was awesome. now that missy has been added to the line up it will be even better!
the lineup is looking great im looking forward to it...WWBS, pete murray, hilltop hoods, the gurge, grinspoon, gerling (missed them last year gotta see them this time around)

I'm definitely gonna try and make it to Homebake this year - I mean the talent is unreal, what with Missy, Kasey Chambers, Pete Murray etc.

I know, I'm ashamed to be 16 years old and still not have had the concert experience - but it's basically because I either like dead artists (no chance of them playing in a town near me) or indie/underground American artists who don't have the fanbase or mainstream popularity to reach Australia - hence nothing's really interested me that much til I got into Missy, u dig?

Like I said before, I'd love to meet up with ya at Homebake - we'll organise that closer to the actual concert anyway.

But yeah, doesn't look good for the Newcastle gig I'm afraid, was hoping to catch the gig and still be able to catch a flight home on the Sunday, but doesn't seem like that's feasible, and there's too many expenses to stay on for another day considering everything's booked and all that - so long story short, I tried http://missyhiggins.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Have fun anyway.

Hey.... this is a bit of info for those of you who are coming driving with me to Homebake and to Newcastle!!!

I do warn whoever is coming with me that the weekend will be full on with a minimum of 26 hours driving to and from gigs only! No sleep for this spring chicken!!!

Here is the journey plan:

Leave Friday arvo night.. I finnish work at 5:00pm...

Pick up Psyco on the way..

Drive to sydney... get there just in time for Homebake...

Attend Homebake...

Hopefull sleep somewhere after Homebake..

Next day... still sleeping..

Maybe explore a bit..

Then travel to Newcastle...

Attend Newcastle gig....

Then drive straight back to Brissie...

Drop Psyco off.. and other ppl that I picked up along the way... and then get home..

The get dressed for work and hop on the bus all ready for a brand new week of work!

How does that sound to you?

yeah homebake was awesome :D i stumbled across the artist signing tent (which i didnt know was there) and Missy was expected to be there in like 5 minutes... how lucky was that?!? there was a huge line though (and she was only gonna be there for like 15 minutes) so i pushed in and managed to get a signature. shame i didnt bring my cd covers though... got a piece of paper and a top signed :)

her actual set was awesome :D i agree that she was excited to be there. haha at one point she said something like... "i was told when you do gigs like this you're supposed to swear and spit a lot" then she said "fuck" and pretended to spit on the ground. lmao she's a funny girl. i managed to get to a couple of people left of front row centre which was awesome. right in the spot missy was facing :)

Hahahah, yes Paula had a purple mohawk... we drapped the banner over the fence as we were right in the front!

We yelled out "We love you Missy", but nothing.. :( She saw the banner and smiled and laughed, but she was in the middle of the 2nd last song... yes she was very excited... ahh she was certainly a funny one on Saturday... im thinking she may have had a big afterparty, cos she was not as chirpy and not in as good a mood on Sunday for the Newcastle gig.

Ahhh and we were looking for you everywhere also... we practically left after missy as we were so stuffed from the drive down from QLD and 3 days with NO sleep... kinda hits you really hard...

No we didnt make it to the signing table in time.. :( aww well.. Im sure there will be plenty of opportunities in the future... still got 4 more gigs this year to go to and then January next year is going to be sooooo hectic... eeek
