ahhh! i just found out that missy higgins came out & played an encore with damien rice at the 2nd sydney gig at the metro! how awesome... im so jealous of anyone that was there! http://missyhiggins.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

'And here's a brief write up for the Tues night gig.

Very chatty, obviously in a great mood tonight. Another sold out crowd, this time at the Metro, a far better venue than the Gaelic Club from the night before.

The Irish presence in the crowd was noticeable, but by no means overwhelming.

Set included Blowers Daughter pt 2, Hallelujah, an original song with Damo on piano I haven't heard before, Woman Like A Man and a few b-sides.

For the encore, Damo was joined by the lovely Aussie indie-pop princess Missy Higgins, who popped up as a surprise opening act, having only met Damo on that day. They did Volcano, a medley of Prince's When Doves Cry and Portishead's Give Me A Reason To Love You, and closed with a hilariously haphazard Cheers Darlin in which Missy kept on fluffing up the lyrics because she was too pissed, as Damo kept on filling up her glass during a little chat just before.'

Missy requests for each concert venue that it be made a non-smoking evening. All smokers are to smoke outside the venue.
