hey folks, ok lets cut the chit chat! i have been doin the famine for an odd ten years with no trouble. THIS YEAR...they decided that the only way that people can donate/sponsor is via credit card. i think this is stupid. however, if you do own a credit card and are kind enough to wish to sponsor me for this troublesome 40 hours i will be undergoing, please, go ahead!!!

My school had a 40 hour dance off instead of the famine to raise money for World Vision. They thought that if they chose something fun to do for forty hours it might draw more people to do it. I guess you aren't really able to see what the starving kids feel like by dancing for forty hours, but it was still great fun and we raised lots of money.

i remeber when i got to the 20 hour mark, i was sooo weak, i almost fainted.

39 hours and 5 minutes. its been suprisingly easy this year. i think i'll start early every year. since i usually only eat out of boredom, i get my cravings on the saturday, but when i'm at school i dont really notice. -oh but the smell of popcorn at work last night was soooo....ARGH!!!!! one of the best batches i've ever made and i couldnt even have a taste test. :(
