check the Leave a Note For Someone thread cos i just left a note about what a crackup she was during some of her songs.
and i'll try and post a photo in this thread soon of during that song with Brian when everyone had their mobile phones on cos it was really pretty. mmm, funny old Delts. i only realised last night that she reminds me so much of Keira Knightly.

I went last night and it was heaps wicked, really enjoyed myself, everyone else seemed to aswell, i thought ticket prices were nasty, and some of the merch was expensive too, cool that she's the first australian to headline at the superdome tho

She's coming to Tasmania soon...I don't think she's been yet, I'm not a fan so I'm not sure of the dates, but tickets were well over $100.

60 bucks is cheap for a show. vip's went for 200, thats what my friend ended up getting us. and although yes it was pricey , the show was good. gotta give credit where its due and delta did a great job.

Unless you go by Bob Dylan, Neil Young, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, or Robert Plant/Jimmy Page, AAAAANNNNNNDDDDD you played at an intimate club with like 400 capacity, there's just no reason to fork out 200.
A music gig shouldn't cost 200. That's what you pay for to see a full blown production where the music is just an afterthought.

yeah ..hoping half of that was a donation to what ever find she is contributing some sales too.
but it was actually good to see a concert with vip tickets on sale, more acts should hold these sort of events!

im not sure that it was good value for money, i mean there were 12000 people there and it felt very unintimate (as my photos will show if i ever get around to posting them)
so when you think about delta doing a few aussie shows at an average of $100 per ticket, and with that amount of people attending...thats quite a spicy meatball, plus the money that merch would have raked in... so im sure she could have still made considerable profit without charging such high ticket prices.
Also, while it was a good show, when i compare it to the missy show that i went to at the enmore which was way smaller, yet heaps cheaper (cos of the smaller venue and because it wasnt as glitzy) That was a far more memorable night for me because i felt i could connect with missy. And compare that to the girl sitting near me on saturday night who had binoculars out trying to watch Delta. which must have been annoying to finally get to see her first tour, and be so removed from the action. (unless you're Seven and you're lucky enough to be in VIP section :))
but i agree delta certainly did a good job.
and i'll also give her some credit cos shes donating part of proceeds to Cancer research.
and ill give her some more credit cos she said out of ze blue, hehe.

This is elitism. Hinny is all for fan club tixs being set aside, but VIP? At a gig, everyone oughta be equal.

Each to their own. Im not a massive fan of deltas but i rather have the best seats and pay the highest price when going to a gig otherwise i rather not go.Besides im not going to comment on price as I am no expert on the actual price ranges for VIP tickets.

I personally think that a limited amount of VIP tickets should be on sale at a high price so who ever is a massive fan and can afford them should have the opportunity.

ah, if it's for charity, fair enough.
I agree that more acts should hold these events, for huge fans who are willing to pay and get great seats. I probably wouldn't have paid that much for Delta, only because i'm not much of a fan of hers :) I definitely would for Missy though :D

Yea my friend was going to go, the cheapest ticket she could get was $110 or something. Apparently they were only $60 if you bought X amount of tickets and they were really crappy seats? Something like that, but it was pretty stupid. They never even filled up the DEC, they got 3500 people and it holds like 5000.

I went to the Saturday night concert! (I was the one Chrissie mentioned in her post :p)
It was an awesome concert! ... I understand that not everyone likes her and that ... but I'd just like to say ... her concert was awesome! You can't judge her concert by her live performances on shows like Rove and Sunrise or whatever ... because her concert really had all the theatrics! There was dancing and interaction with the audience ... not just her sitting behind the piano ... it really opened up another side to her!
Anyways, enough blabbering! Your pics are awesome "Seven" :D

Hey all,
I'm a MASSIVE fan of Delta... I went to her Brisbane Visualise Concert on July 18th and was totally blown away. She performed amazingly, and the show was so spectacular. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a fan of hers!
I paid the VIP price $200 so I could get great seats. We were 5th row back from the stage, and were right next to the catwalk barrier, so could just reach out and nearly touch her. So to me, it was worth every penny.
Thanks for posting the photos - she looked so stunning in all her outfits!! I'm looking forward to her next single (Be Strong), and also the tour DVD coming out in October! Keep an eye out for me on the DVD... if there are snippets from other concerts, I might be in the Brisbane one! :D

The concerts they are using for the DVD are the ones at the Sydney Superdome.
And just FYI for an earlier post about Delta's ticket sales: she outsold the likes of Green Day, Destiny's Child and 50 Cent, amongst others, at the Sydney Superdome. There she sold 20,000, which is an incredible amount. Delta also has the honour of being the first Australian act to headline at the Superdome.

Green Day only had one concert at the Superdome when they toured, which sold out fast.. so obviously she would have outsold them because she had a few[?] concerts there. You can't really compare.

ahes such an amazing person - so gifted. i learnt that the first time i met her in early 2003 and The Visualise Tour proved to me that she hasn't changed a bit!
