Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals

i am curious of what people think of ben and the innocent criminals...

i was asked the question the other day as to what his/their style is, and well, i dont know, a mix of a lot. i personally think that ben harper is an under-rated guitarist and one of my fave modern guitarists out there, also juan nelson kicks some serious arse on bass.

they put out awesome live shows, and each album is consitently great. so yeh, i love them, how bout u guys?

fave album is either burn to shine or fight for your mind in terms of studio the live at mars double disc is awesome. some fave tunes would be burn to shine and excuse me mr (just to keep it short and so i dont write off a trillion tunes).

oh and the blind boys album with ben is pretty awesome too in my view. so yes, im a fan :)

id probably have to say fight for your mind is my fav album... cant go past live from mars either... such an amazing cd! :)

Cruel world or Live from Mars.. esp as it's a 2 disc set so you get two for the price of one.. Has anyone heard his version of Sexual Healing? it's amazing......

Ben sure does fine covers. Prime example: Indifference at the 2001 JJJ show at the Independent Theatre.

He's bloody great. I prefer him with out the innocent criminals though. Like in disc 2 of Live from Mars!

Ben's my favorite musician. He has a song for every single emotion, I absolutely love his lyrics. And you're right you can't really pin point his exact sound. I guess "amazing" would cover it :)
