Holly Throsby and New Buffalo

Last nite i was lucky enough to catch a gig with these two, twas magical, 30 ppl sitting around on a cold winter night sippin some brews and listening to some great tunes.

Lastnight I went to see the Beautiful Girls who were awesome as usual. They played for 2 and a half hours, heaps of encores. Had the support act (Jez - who is awesome too)? playing with them for a song.. their manager/sound guy playing with them aswell for a song.

Im soooooooooooooooooo pumped with Aussie music at the moment! Has it ever been this good?

Nice Cactus, I caught TBG last week here in Adelaide as well, yep nice long set and they seemed even better than the last time i saw em 6 months ago :)

When I was seeing Serena last night someone asked me who i was doing the photography for. Then we started talking and they told me about Holly - Im definately going to go to that show if I can - hopefully take some photos too - that would be great! Ive heard she is really great!

Just listened to holly on her website, love her stuff! unfortenately doubt i will be able to find her CD over here in the states, might need to get it shipped over. What do New Buffalo sound like? i couldnt find any of their stuff to listen too.

i saw new buffalo supporting ben lee. they were pretty good. i didn't think they were fantastic though.

I liked Holly a lot more than New Buffalo but they had some funky songs too :)

i've never heard any new buffalo, but i heard holly on the radio for the first time yesterday or the day before. i wrote down her name meaning to check her out. then i saw this thread. i think i heard things betweeen people. i really like it, she's got a beautiful voice. :D

You can actually buy Holly's record overseas through www.insound.com apparently. It may also be getting a release there near the end of the year, but nothing's confirmed just yet.

ash grunwald is awesome!!! so pissed off he's not coming to sydney :( we get stuck with the McMenamins. they're pretty good but i've seen them before.
