Ok - Ive got a few favs on this one this year!

I only watch it cos my mate Tarni Stephens is in it! Shes one of the top 30 :)

Ok my favs are:

Millie - cos shes damn hot and kicks arse
There is another girl who i dont know here name with shorish black hair that is a bit of a rock chick too! I like rock chicks :) She really reminds me of Emma for some reason! If she had shorter hair :)

I reckon the runners up do better because they have to prove themselves more .. the winners take it for granted and let winner status go to their brains .. exception being Kelly Clarkson.

shenelle - any person entering idol has to sign an agreement stating that they cannot sign with another label other than BMG for a certain amount of time after the shows conclusion. so to some extent, your friend may be able to do her own thing...but...
i personally have no problem with the show. if people can sing and do well out of it - good luck to them. One of my favourite artists is actually Will Young, the first ever winner of Idol when it was created in the UK.

I like it. It's like a great comedy show. First it's a bunch of people who look really shocked when they're given the cold hard truth, and then it becomes this full on quest for mediocrity. Why people want to win this so much I'll never know.

I (and Im not being biased), really like Tarni and the Wiggles dude, I saw him at my local shops yesterday! I like Idol because it provides a pathway for struggling musicians, what I dont like however is the disposable nature of the contestants, and the way in which the artist are advertised to the masses, if I was to win Idol, Id wonder if it was because of the TV exposure or because I really was good. I thinks its pretty materialistic, but its good fun, I went to watch the show last year (the night when Anthony did the Prayer and there was the Grand Royale Touchdown), it was a really great night and Mark Holden's great to chat too! Missin Dicko though, Kyle gives me the sh**s!

dicko was ok... but im more at the stage of "dicko who" no loss really I dont think.... Dont get to watch the show as much, but yeah cant wait to see the top ten next week perform....and Im being bias, hope tarni makes it ....just hope shen didnt tell her to sing a Missy song :D

I don't watch Idol much, it's the same every year- someone wins, you hardly hear about them after all they go through, then the runner up kicks butt anyway.

Anyway, I'm not into it much at the moment. I watched auditions, and a bit the other night. I had a soft spot for Lindsay(sp?), don't know why, he's got nothing in way of looks or much talent, but there was something there. Good on Kyle for fighting for him, I reackon he may end up signed onto King Kyle records.

My fav person on Idol this year- KYLE!!! I looooooovvve Kyle! If he wasn't with Tamara, he'd be mine ;) But then again, I could always steal him :p Nah, wouldn't do that- Tamara is a sweety! I think it's good he's so honest and up front- just what this 'talent quest' needs. There are some shockers this year- I can't believe 80% of the top 30 are there :eek:

There's just something about this particular series just never grabbed at me.

Before, there was the novelty factor. I was never gonna to pay much attention to the people once the series finishes, but I just liked seeing the judges abuse them, and to gush even when it's utter shite. Now, I dunno. Rock Star INXS has been doing the same job, and I actually like the songs and the occassional performance on the show. It even has the same unworthy gushing from the judges, INXS themselves. Such a great joke, this whole thing, trying to find a replacement for Hutchence. Besides, it's fun to see how much Dave Navarro has sold out since his seminal Janes Addiction work.

I didnt get to see sunday nights performance, I was actually out watching real talented aussie music (diesel and lana) :p


But question... why the heck is laura still in this competition... is it becuase she fits the mould of a popstar..because honestly I dont find her to be anything special, she looks like an unco lolly pop !


I reallllllly like roxanne... im so glad she made it and I hope she wins the whole comp, also really like lee, hes fun but dont think hed win the comp, hes voice aint strong enough.
