but yes. i have a scar. his name is bruce. i was going down a sand hill on a bodyboard and as i was going down i swirved passed a pole sticking out of the ground, kept going, as i got towards the end of the hill i lost control a bit, went into the bushes a bit, and WHAM!, straight into a pole that no one knew was there. i only got a friction burn, but it was a whopper of a burn cause i still have the scar and it has been well over a year now. i think i have a photo of bruce somewhere...

Scars...

One over my right eye- struck by a hockey stick during a game in year 11, 5 years ago.
One on my left shin- fell on some metallic thing, 17 years ago
One on my right shin, one on my lower lip- was building a deck in my backyard. Foundation beams laid. I started doing the balance beam walking thing, slipped, smacked my mouth against a beam and my leg against another. Set of teeth saved by braces. Braces badly damaged, had to do the whole teeth correction process thing again. 7 years ago.

And then there was the time I was riding my bike down a hill, I put on the front brakes hard. The bike flipped, and I went flying.

well when i was 8 i got this crafty kids set thing to make stuff n i was trying to cut a paddle pop stick with a stanley knife n i couldn't do it. i was getting so frustrated n for some reason i thought it was a good idea to sit it on my leg n cut it...............the knife slipped n cut my thigh lol. oops

and there were 2 times i luckily didn't get scars...

1. was rollerblading across the road after just getting the rollerblades for christmas... "look mum look, i'm really good"....start to go across the road....my brother comes zooming down the road on his new bike....WHACK....on the ground and the front wheel partially runs over my face. there was a scar for a while but it has gone now.

2. i was training for triathlon, doing a 60km bike ride. as i was riding i had my arms on the tri bars (those things you rest your forearms on)....looked up and saw a parked car ahead but it was pretty far away....kept riding.....looked up again and BAM!!....crashed into the back of a parked car. i didn't realise i was riding so flippen fast. i was ok, just a bloody knee, sore arm and sore head (no worse thanks to my helmet), the car was ok too, but my beautiful expensive bike was stuffed. not totally, just the front tyre. but that tyre cost as much as my laptop.

i was out the back of work n my boss called me up into the office. i had jeans that touched the ground n i went racing up the stairs.i tripped on my jeans n my foot went through the step n my ankle got caught n i fell on my face lol. my friend saw me n we couldnt stop laughin for half an hour.

i bumped my head twice getting on and off the bus today on the airconditioning unit n got a bleeding nose when i got home.

i also once fell down 4 tiled stairs backwards n banged my head n my knees.
ive fallen ova twice when i went iceskating n i wasnt even moving n was holding onto the wall. n i also once was sitting on the end of my friends bed n lent backwards forgettin that i was on the end. i fell off backwards n landed on a pile of plates lol.

When I was little, I was playing tiggy with my cousin and I fell over and cut just under my chin on the edge of the bathroom tiling (3 stitches). Another time, I was at my neighbours house on a swing and then a fell head first on the edge of the tiling in their backyard and cut my forehead (3 stitches).. man what is with me and the edge of the tiles. Another time, I don't know how the hell this happened but I cut my foot by some glass on the floor (2 stitches)... and that's all, never broke a bone though lol - touch wood

being the tomboy that i was as a kid i used to climb all the time.... one day when i was climbing on top of a wire cage my ear ring got caught and ripped my ear

another time i was rollingblading down a hill just before we were getting family photos done at government house (dad was getting an O.A.M) i ran into a fense down the bottom and got a black eye!!

Oh another time was when my neighbour's dog was over at our house, and my dog hates this dog, so they got in a fight, and me being an idiot, went to try and stop the fight and so I pulled the dogs away and my dog bit me on the wrist - three nice big punctures :) luckily it missed my vein though...

I got hit by a council truck! ah ha.... I was in grade seven I think, went to walk across the lights in town. All I remember was rolling up to the windscreen then rolling down the main road!!!!!

The man that ran me over got out of his car ( my knee was cut open and my school stockings were all ripped) got out of his car and said ummm do u want me to buy you a new pair of stockings!! I said ummm a new leg would probably be better!

ohh and the worst thing was there was a Freedom shop right there with massive glass windows and like 50 people were standing in there looking at me!!!!

when i was 5 i stole my mates bike and was riding it down the road, with my head down going as fast as I could, and i drove into a car parked over the drive way. The bumper (was one of those old metal ones) cut just above my eye, have a scar there now. I left the bike and screamed all the way home with blood pissing down my face. Mum and dad came running out and mum panicked coz she thought it was my eye, but my dad ran off down the road to make sure i hadnt damaged the car! nice priorities huh!

another time when i was about 14 was walking down the halls at school and it was a wet day, my nice mate pushed me and i fell in the doorway and when i landed my skirt was up around waist, and a classful of students were laughing .. didn't hurt myself .. only my pride.

When i was 7, i fractured my wrist playing handball. Now this might sound silly, how could i break a wrist playing handball but it was in the street and i was on the downhill slope and when i missed the ball (as you do :rolleyes: ) and as i was running down the street after it, i tripped over a few sticks (tiny little things) and went ass over head and landed on my wrist.

What else... hrmm in year 12, i was wandering into one of my classes (actually more like running) and as i went to open the door (quite thick) in the motion of running i didn't get one foot out of the way, so i opened the door and it stopped with my foot in the way but i was still in the motion and went "SMACK" on the bone just above my eye in this huge door (like 3 inches thick) and of course everyone saw it and thought it was bloody funny. Silly thing was, my first instinct was to laugh, i ended up rolling on the floor laughing at how stupid i was... the next day i could hardly get out of bed! Gave myself concussion!

I'm sure there's something else stupid that i've done in injuring myself but i can't remember right now.

ummm..........went to get textbooks out of a friends car when we were signing out of year 12 last year. I was just about the shut the boot (corolla sedan) when one of his other mates yelled "NOOO....I WANT MINE!". So...me being me, instead of grabbing it from the top with my hand, i put my arm BACK into the boot with the boot door slamming down. Let's just say I stopped the boot with my arm. I had a very nice black bruise on it for about a month. I remember the dimensions of it to....18cm by 15cm. I loved it....turned some very funky colours.

what else have i done....i fell backwards at school on the way to class and broke, fractured, bent, bruised and twisted my wrist. Ended up having to go to hospital and have my wrist pulled back out straight under a general. At least I got out of my physics exam! :D

I fell over in the middle of my first dancing solo at the xmas concert...in front of like 1000 people

When I was 8 months old, I crawled outside and fell face-first down the front steps. I don't think my mum has ever forgiven herself for that, haha.

But I'm really un-co, so I'm forever tripping over. Last week I lost my balance/sense of direction because the house was dark and I walked into a buffet in our hallway. It took me by surprise, so I took a step back, fell over my dog who had followed me and hit my head on the wall. I'm brilliant.

Another time ages back, I got out of the car, and I have no idea how, but my thumb got crushed in the door, my nail was all cracked like when you see snails that have been crushed accidently and it was sick. uhhhhhhh luckily my mum didn't lock the door. i didn't even tell anyone it happened at the time.. don't know why.. I guess even back then I thought it was just such a ditzy thing to do :rolleyes:

i was in the mosh during The Living End's set with no shoes on. there were beer cans all over the ground. i ended up having to crowd surf to get out of there. shit my feet were sore the next day.

i don't compete anymore because i have shit knees. i stopped when i was about 16-17. i still play soccer which is fairly hard on the knees but training for triathlon....the knees wouldn't be able to handle it.
as for what triathlons i did....nothing huge, i was only young. just did a few series, state at school, and most of the triathlons advertised during the year :)


oh i remember yet another scar... this one has started to disappear. it's on my right hand just on top of the adductor pollicis muscle.
i had just finished cooking pancakes and was putting the frypan in the sink. as i was putting it down i saw the washing up cloth in the sink where i was about to put the pan. as i wanted to clean the pan, while letting the pan go i went to grab the cloth... the pan landed on my hand and as it was still very hot it burnt me. this was about 3 years ago and i still have a little scar :o

Um i have a scar on my knee from when me and my friend were playing hacky sack, and it went way over yonda we raced each other to get it, i was sprinting she stepped on my foot i flipped myself over and grazed it along the cement, infront of everyone, i also smashed about 4 of my rings taht were made out of glass, haemotite, magnitized, and wateva else ones there was, huge cut along my thumb from where one snapped and sliced me.

umm huge scar behind my ear 22 stitches, from when the doctors cut it off and sewed it back on again.

graze on my right hip where i got hit by a car on my bike, no harm done i walked home, wish i cud say the same for my bikes crank and pedals.

ok, i do gymnastics and when i first started i tried this leap on the beam and in mid-air i knew i wasnt going to land on the beam. nevertheless, i tried to and i ended up falling on my ass on the tiny square of floor that wasnt covered by a mat and scraping my side all the way down on the edge of the beam. not fun. especially since there were quite a few people watching...
i have another one, exept it wasnt my embarrassing injury it was a friend of mine's. i was inside the library at my school and my friend was outside. the doors in the library are clear and automatic...or so i thought. they werent working that day. my friend decided to act like and idiot and ran at the door with her hands over her eyes yelling "i cant see you, you cant see me, hee hee hee!" and she slammed right into the door. fricken hilarious, until this horrible librarian kicked us out for "disturbing studying students". the only people in there at the time were loser year sevens that were playing games on the computers.

About a month ago, when I was running to get to the front of a barrier at a gig, four girls in front of me tripped and fell on each other and at the time I was too busy running to think why, then I tripped on the step down that caused them to fall over and fell on top of them. I got a nice big bruise on my shin and the (very hot) roadies pissed themselves laughing.
When I was a youngin' I was sitting on the trampoline with my neighbours who were jumping at the time. And for some reason I had some coins and because I didn't have enough hands to hold them I put some between my lips. Then someone did a big bounce right next to me which caused me to swallow 2 of the coins.

I walked home coz I broke my bike - the chain got jammed good and hard in my gears. 2 km's later when I got home my knee was swollen like Mt Kosiosko. My dad came home to check on me and told me to put ice on it... Which I did until mum came home 5 hours later. I had to go to the hospital and turns out I froze my knee which was badly bruised. Was on crutches for a week as my knee thawed out.

Then a year later, same bloody bike... I actually made it to school. Trying to get past some other students and my wheel goes over the edge of the concrete path and whammo... another famous stack in front of the school. Jarred my hip this time.

If you can't tell by now, my racer & me were a very bad combination. You can understand I don't ride it anymore. :o

Then this year... I went for a walk to the shops before work, and tripped over a paver. Did a massive stack (luckily no one from work was around) Ripped a hole in my left knee in one of new pairs of pants. And stuffed my knee up (the Mt Kosiosko one) Still not right...

A month later I was walking from work to the train station with my workmates and it'd been raining. My foot slipped off the kurb. My workmates turned around to see me falling to the ground and my backpack flying over my head (laptop enclosed). This time I ripped a hole in the right knee of my other pair of new pants. It was the funniest sight. Even I was cracking up laughing. At least this time it was only the graze that hurt.

Hmmm, where to begin with my stupidity injuries! When I was seven I jumped of the shed roof in my neighour's garden. I landed on the grass, ut because it had been raining, the moment my feet touched the grass, they slipped and I landed all my weight on my wee wrist and snapped it!My mum phoned my uncle (my gp) who said it was probably just sprained (what a great doctor!) so she didn't take me to the hospital till my gran forced her to the next day. I got a plaster put on it, and I was really excited cos I thought I would be allowed to have all my friends sign it. But it was my 1st Communion in 2 weeks, so my mum made me keep it pristine until afterwards!

Then when I was ten I broke my thumb in a mousetrap. Seriously, who is dumb enough to put their hand on a mousetrap?!?

Later that year I was learning to ski at an dry ski slope. I was going down the advanced slope for the first time, started going too fast, panicked, forgot how to stop and went bang smack into the barrier and broke my nose. That hurt.

When I was thirteen I decided that, while wearing my rollerblades, I needed to go up the stairs to my bedroom. I got to the top of the stairs, lost my balance and fell all the way back down again. Luckily I didn't break anything.

Then, when I was seventeen, I was on a skiing trip in the USA with my school. On the third day of skiing, our group decided to go down this really hard run, and I was at the back of the group. It had been snowing the night before and the snow was really powdery, and as I came up from doing a tuck down part of the slope, my skis got caught in the snow. Because my body was still going, I fell forward onto my front and my skiis flew off into the trees. Because I had been going so fast, I kept going, even though I was flat on the ground. I looked up and saw that there was a tree straight in front of me and bam! I went right into the tree. Broke my nose (again), gave myself two black eyes and my teeth went through my lip. So for the rest of the trip I had black eyes, a swollen nose with a big cut on it between my eyes (i now have a scar there) and a swollen lip, I now have a scar where my teeth went through it. Bonus was though, because my teeth were too sore, I couldn't eat my meals, so the barman in our hotel made me fresh milkshakes to drink for each of my meals! And I became famous...everyone at our resort kept coming up to me and saying "oh, so you're the girl that skiied into the tree!" It was funny!

As you can see, I am really accident prone!!
