no it doesnt. at all.
it deals primarially right now with the serious issue of HIV in gay mens society. Lesbians arent so harshly effected by such a disease so the l word cant exactly home in on it and write about it.

Lesbians can/do get STI, but not as badley as gay men.

The L Word also tackles 'real issues', you just need to look at the levels.
i dont know about you, but i relate a lot more to the 'real issues' in the l word as opposed to the issues in Q.A.F

Me either...........id like to see emmett and hunter going for it..my 2 fave characters in the whole show. Q A F is my absolute baby of a show, im so glad we're getting into the 5th season. I like QAF better than L Word....the only good thing about L word is that Shane is one hot chicky!!!!
