Great shows to me, and im sure there are other fans on here, actually i know hinny is a fan. i think joss whedon is a freaking genius, and i dont say that very often. here is a quote from him

"i would rather make a show that 100 people NEED to see than 1000 people WANT to see" yeh and thats pretty much on the dot i reckon, most buffy and angel fans are pretty nuts i suppose. i guess i am too.

nehow, lets discuss these shows here, which do u like more? what did u like bout em?

oh and i know the shows have their haters, but such is life.

ive almost gone through season 7 of buffy again all the way through in a couple days. i think im gonna go to bed watch the end and sleep soon.

i think i enjoy angel as a show just a tad bit more

some characters in buffy just shit me so much though, eg riley, kennedy, tara, and xander has his moments when he tries to be hardcore, but he is a legend when he is a sarcastic goof!!!

i have all seasons of buffy on dvd, man i loved that show, its totally awesome, my fav character was willow, liked her transition throughout the show, and i liked xander's gay tendencies towards the end of the series lol, thought it was kinda rubbish towards the end tho, i mean the last episode, kinda i dunno, didnt fit, anya dying, come on!

never really got into Angel, but i loved it when he popped in Buffy, i like him alot more in the earlier seasons

the last episode - a bit of a let down and seeing anya die oh so sad.

Conor was a mistake, for sure. It's one thing for a show to have a character who's annoying, but this shouldn't be to the point where he's so damn annoying it detracts from the show.

All the slayers in training started to annoy me after awhile. There were too many of em. It was sad when Anya died, and the whole Buffy/Spike thing.

Last ep of Angel was disappointing, but sad too. Wes dying! Aaargh. I liked him. They all basically died in the end anyway, didn't they? although they didn't show it.
There was that episode with Cordy too, never making it out of her coma and dying. Ohh, i'm so vague at describing the episode :rolleyes: ahhhhhhhhh so sad anyway.

I could go on about it all day :D

That episode with joyce dying omg that was so sad, i thought that was such a great episode, i really liked season 5, i liked season 6 too even tho it was depressing, i liked the whole willow with too much magic storyline, season 3 was kick ass tho, i loved it when faith came back towards the end of the series

Liked both series probably Angel slightly more. Sad to see em gone but I reckon Buffy had run it's course, rather see it go before it went too downhill and repetitive. Reckon Angel coulda had another season though if the writers and cast had been up for it.

i love the spike-angel dynamic, they were hilarious together, eg the episode where they go to rome, classic.

one of my fave moments in either show was episode 3 of angel, where spike is on the roof-top baggin angel out when he is saving that chick at the start of the episode - sooo funny.

I used to watch it :) My friend is obsessed with both Buffy and Angel, so she's lending me all of the seasons for me to watch, so I'll hopefully get into it again :D

mmm, Buffy was good.
except i found season 7 a bit of a letdown...or maybe i just never got over Tara.
i think season 5 was my favourite. Dawn could be annoying at times, and so could Buffy, but i loved Anya and Tara so much.
Yeah, Joss is great. I was so impressed listening to his director's commentary about how he just really wanted to do a musical, so he just wrote the whole score pretty much by himself.

my favourite episodes have to include Tabula Rasa cos i always get so emotional at the end when Michelle Branch is singing. and i love love the whacky episodes like Hush, and Superstar and Restless. ehehe
Xander: Im going to go into the back with Willow and Tara. Are you going to be right to drive the ice cream truck by yourself?
Anya: Yes, i think i've figured out how to steer by gesturing emphatically.

i know! heaps of people say to me that tara sucks and willow shouldn't have gone for her over Oz.
but oh Tara...she was so cute!!! and when she sang and danced in Once More With Feeling...i can not watch any scene of Buffy with Tara in it without wanting to give her a hug.

now Kennedy, THERE was a lesbian Buffy character who sucked big time. she had nothing going for her at all.

i LOVE BARFY!!!! but i didnt get into it til like the 5th season. so i watched season 6 and season 2 at the same time cos i had fox and normal telly.

i think the first buffy episode episode i ever watched scared the shit out of me so much that i never wanted to watch it again...until much later. i think it was called silence and it had those really freaky tall guys that float and have the biggest smiles ever. much like this:

i watched one or two episodes of angel and saw this one where this old lady bricked her son into a wall and he was crying and screaming for her not to do it and she was like humming and just going about it. that made me sick. and i havent watched angel since. so maybe i might get addicted to angel in like 5 years, who knows?

yeah, Hush rocked. not just cos it was the first episode that Tara appeared in... *swoons*
but i love when they have the meeting at uni to explain whats happened and Giles turns on the music and they all have trouble communicating with each other. Like when they ask 'what do the gentlemen want?' and Willow wants to say 'Hearts' and she points to her chest and Xander goes 'boobies???'

i also want to say that i completely hated Warren and Riley, but Hinny, its funny cos i completely loved Glory. Maybe its just cos i hated Dawn and kinda loved the idea of someone trying to kill her... But Glory was hilarious, even when she was torturing Tara- 'So, you like it like this, don't you? just us girls...'

Just saw Serenity the new film from Joss whedon based on the series Firefly good action and all the trademark one liners ya expect from a Whedon script. Some familiar faces from Buffy n Angel too, like the fact he's kept faith with some of his previous actors. Well worth catching this if ya get the chance.

thanks for that info bri - im gonna check it out when i get the chance for sure. i know that between the 3 series that he had, that he utilised a number of actors over those 3. pretty cool :)
