Little Birdy cancel Aussie Tour

According to tegan and saras website, little birdy have cancelled the rest of their australian tour. it doesnt mention why, and little birdys site says nothing...but tegan and sara will now headline all shows, however, the canberra gig has been cancelled. bad news for those who still have tickets....but, after seeing the adelaide show...you should still go and rock on to tegan and sara cos those girls were ace!

LITTLE BIRDY CANCEL EASTERN STATES TOUR DUE TO ILLNESS


Little Birdy have unfortunately had to cancel all remaining East Coast shows on their Australian tour. This is due to the continuation of Katy Steele’s viral flu which has affected her voice, leaving her unable to sing.

Special guests, Tegan and Sara, who have travelled all the way from Canada for the tour, along with W.A.’s Bob Evans will still play some of the shows on the tour at a discounted ticket price. Please see details below;

Tegan and Sara and Bob Evans to play;
Tuesday 23rd August Southport RSL,
Thursday 25th August The Metro, Sydney NSW
Friday 26th August Hi-Fi Bar, Melbourne, VIC

Tickets for the above shows will cost $12 (Southport RSL $10) at the door.

Completely cancelled shows;
Saturday 27th August Canberra ANU Bar, ACT
Sunday 28th August Yallah Roadhouse, Wollongong, NSW
Monday 29th August Hi-Fi Bar, Melbourne, VIC

Little Birdy will reschedule all six shows mentioned above for November. Customers with pre purchased tickets for any of these shows should hold on to their tickets as they will be valid at these rescheduled shows. Alternatively, a full refund is also available at point of purchase. New dates will be announced within the week.

Please note that Little Birdy’s West Coast dates will continue to go ahead next week.
Friday 2nd September Settlers Tavern with the Panda band
Saturday 3rd September Fly By Night Club, Fremantle, all ages in the afternoon and
Over 18’s in the evening, both shows are supported by The Panda Band and The Imps
Thursday 8th September The Prince Of Wales, Bunbury with the Panda Band.

Little Birdy are extremely upset to have to cancel shows, and would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to their fans. They will be rescheduling all East Coast Shows that did not go ahead for dates in early November.

Ok...I called Metro today. Here is what is happening for those of us that already have tix.

Call the box office (9287 2000) to get a full refund if you wish. OR. keep the tix for when the rescheduled show is on in November.

HOWEVER....if you are going to see tegan and sara:

tegan and sara will now be a headline show. tix will be $12. u can't use your current tickets. T&S tix will be available at the door only.

Ummm....chances for Tegan and Sara supporting the rescheduled Lil Birdy shows are VERY slim....like almost impossible.

Awww, we saw little birdy last week with tegan and sara, katie had to stop halfway through a song because she couldnt sing anymore. No big loss, i was there to see tegan and sara anyway. They're awesome kinds! check them out if you can!!!
