hey guys
who took that photo of the cat on the bed? Are you a professional photographer cause that is good.
Hey Row - I wouldn't call me a professional photographer... It's called taking many shots to get a few good ones.
I studied portraiture photography ages ago (I sound old now - shit, compared to alot of you, I am!), and was the photographer at a no longer running venue even longer ago. I'll hopefully put up some pics from there after I scan them. Same story for a couple more pet pics.

I did photography at school too - the golf egg pic earlier was one of my school assignments
they are both awesome.... not that I know a lot about photography!!
I hated my photography teacher at school...... he was always like 'you have to take heaps and heaps of photos'' erghh...

I was the biggest suck in my art lessons... Come to think of it I sucked up to every teacher, except my english teacher (she spent most of her time calling my mum complaining I didn't do my homework).
You only need 1 really good teacher to inspire you and encourage you. Bit like Missy really... Listening to her made me pull my finger out and get back into my music.
Anyway, back on track...

yes. please
and for all of you who are hosting your pictures with photo bucket resizing isnt hard.
simply go into your photobucket account
and above the thumbnail of your hosted picture, click edit.
scroll down to resize, choose between 25%, 50% and 75% of the orginal size.
and yes yes, that easiest way to do it.

Yeah... There's plenty of things to take pics of in Adelaide!!!
Even the western suburbs aren't that bad. Can't be too bad if they take budding artists from TAFE down to the Port to draw pictures.
I've had some awesome pic opportunities, just forget to have my camera with me.

I love this picture, it looks so very glooooomy!
Which it is. I was in crap mood.
It was freeeeeeeeeezing!
Had been pouring down all bloody day, I was soaked right down to my tits (getting scary looks from pervy men.. *cringes*) and there was a 2 hour wait on the stupid boat off the island.

haa its a bit hard to see past the attitude of port adelaide.
one night my mate was walking to her car with a friend and a man came up to her and asked for some money for cheese. my mate looked at him and his smell was undeniably the smell of cheap alcohol and said nahh u'll just but grog with it.
45 misn later she was stopped at some lights. the same guy walks past her car, heading down the street.
and in his hand he had a small block of cheese.

Critique -
unless you scroll down, it may be missed that you do music photography...
my suggestion... make the page wider. Your text should come up and hopefully the pics are all visible without need to scroll. Then again that could be my screen resolution...
That's just to pick on your index page. Did you just fix some links, because they weren't working before and now they are.
The fact that everything is very few clicks away from the next page is good too... That's something I demonstrate to my customers about my works website.
Other than that Shen, it looks very professional and very impressive. You've done well! :D

if u take photos from the crowd, then they cant stop you from doing anything with them, however, if you have been given meda acreditation from management etc, then its for the use of your company or specific reason. Ie. Street Press - used for the magazine for a review. etc. Photographers may be taking photos for management (like me) and that means all the photos go to management. Thats all!

Bloody dial up!
here are some pics I took in Hobart - sorry about the quality - each time I tried to take a photo I would be standing in a cloud! they travel fast!

This was a weird telephone/power tower in Hobart on the top of the mountain! Its actually ugly, but It was kinda cool at the time! It was really big - and apparently, when it gets really windy and it sways, then everyone looses power and phone reception.. lol

My photo is my signature...
I took it the other day when I thought i'd do my hair dyke style ;)
And considering the red chunks which turned out pink were heavily faded before anyone got to see me, I thougt I'd have a play on Photoshop and emphasise the pink before I washed it out too much. And emphasise the blue in my eyes for that matter... Seeming I'm not really into pink.

I really want to get into photography. I just cant afford a decent camera at the moment. Im trying to save for a Canon EOS 350D but its going to take forever. I would put up a picture but I dont really know how....
I use a manual SLR which are no longer than expensive.. or just use a regular camera but get them dveloped onto disc. It gives you a chance to work on taking pics until you buy the camera you want... you can use something like Photobucket to upload pics.... it's free and pretty easy...
Posting Random pic as this is a photo thread...
Amanda Tapping (from Stargate if anyone watches it) who I got to hang out with last weekend....(I love this pic cause you can tell how much fun she was having)(and yes, I'm a geek if anyone cares....lol)

I have a digital slr camera - they are coming down in price! For a beginner you can get cheap ones. Ive got a Konica Minolta Digital SLR - its good :)

Nope, that's how I took it.... I was on a train travelling to upstate NY and thought it might make a cool shot so I took it, no digital or computer involved...I think I got lucky, it's the same with the last sunset I took, they just turned out exactly.....

Arthur's Pass - New Zealand - 2001
Took this one while on the train just before Arthur's Pass - was moving at almost 80 k's per hour. This shot was an absolute fluke! Very little motion blur, and dead centre on the bridge!
