I know there are a few Lior fans on this board, so i thought i would start a thread!
He is heading back to Adelaide on Sept 18th for a show at the gov - supported by Hawksley Workman. It also happens to be world peace day, and there is an adelaide festival that he is headlining. Sophie Koh is also playing. Anyway - for adelaide people - its in Light Square ( just avoid the people leaving Rise, Savvy, The Garage and the Cumberland arms!!) Oh yeah - its free. If you havent had the chance to hear Lior, i would suggest going just to check him out.

i enjoy his music...saw him for the first time a few years back - supporting an adelaide band, and i thought he was fine. wouldnt know about his 'wanker' status...i just wanna hear him play...i mean..i'm going to see oasis and i think liam is a tool..but who cares..i like their music.

Why do you say that Cirrol? Wow Hawksley Workman is supporting him? cool. According to my local street magazine he's doing a gig at the Tivoli here on the 24th. But it turns out I have some commitments that I can't get out of so it looks like I wont be able to go. :( I hope he does another tour soon. I'm suprised their aren't more people here that like him.

Because i met him at one of the Missy gigs earlier this year and we asked him to have a photo with pip and pop, he looked at us like absoloute idiots and was a complete arsehole about it. His music is average and he likes himself way too much for his own good. He thinks he's so much better than he actually is. Meh long story, but i guess you had to be there on the day to see the way he acted.

really enjoyed the Lior concert last night...he got a great reception. he played with a string trio which really enhanced a few songs - particularly 'this old love'. hawksley workman did a good job as support - and shenelle - youre right, he is bloody funny. (ive never seen a crowd at the gov give that much respect to a support act - there was next to no talking)

Wasn't hawksley brilliant! My friend went up n bought his cd so i'll have to get a copy of it later, I swear he used to be a professional comedian.

Lior was great, didn't take himself too seriously, had fun up there and the drum solo with their manager rocked ;)

IT WAS AMAZING! - i had a blast.

first ones waiting outside.. first one to get my ticket ripped (and bags werent checked :cool: ) first one to get the spot right under the mic..

it was amazing.
so we have about 5 picks that lior used and dropped onto the stage.. a set list and a bottle of water lior didnt open.. so i grabbed that at the end and had it ... also.. he had once sip of his Becks beer then left the stage.. so i grabbed that and we took a photo with it then tried to get the (candle lighting dude) to give it to lior.. but he didnt.. and told us to keep it.. even when i offered it to him to drink.. lol
