I'm sitting in front of the teevee, and it occurs to me that I have a few things I'm just absolutely drawn to. Stupid things, really.

Obviously there's music, tv shows and food. I love my Pearl Jam. I love my Scrubs, The West Wing, and Family Guy. I love the English Premier League. I love my snickers bars, chillis and lambchops.

These are just your run of the mill obsessions, shared in varying degrees by everyone. The one that really sticks out for me is...

Election night coverage. I absolutely love this stuff. No matter how (in)significant, I love it. US. Kiwi. British. German. Japanese. Taiwanese. Indian. Federal. State. If I know there's a vote counting thing on tv, I'll watch it. I love watching the pundits go on and on and say really obvious things like "too close to call", "it's not looking good for xxx", "this one's going right down to the wire", so on so forth. And then they put up these really fancy graphics about how each party has received x amount of votes.

I love it so much so that in the last union election at uni, I grabbed the mic at the post-election vote counting afterparty and started my own punditry. It was so ham-fisted, a couple of others started to chime in. Then we got a few markers and started drawing fake graphs of the progress.

Election Chaser and The Chaser Decides has been two of the finest comedies in the last 5 years. This is where my future lies. Fake election punditry. Ohhh yeahhhh.

LA Maxi Ice(aka fake cheap coke)- omg I go through this stuff like I'll die without it!! 2 litre bottles only last an hour or so :o

Nuts About Chocolate- a choccy spread kinda like nutella but better! GoLo has it for a buck atm so I stocked up(then ran out- again :( ) I eat it by the spoonfull- cholestarol probs, anyone?

Rats- I just can't stop buying them! I adore my rats like they are my children- to have nearly 60 of them I must :p

Music - Aussie music is what i mostly listen to eg missy, pete murray, alex lloyd, powderfinger (and bernard fanning on his own), ben lee and something for kate. I'm always bound to be listening to any of these artists but usually when i go to bed at night i listen to missy the most.

TV - I watch a bit of tv but im totally obsessed with the oc, one tree hill, alias, sex and the city, angel, that 70s show, scrubs, lost, the l word, stargate sg 1 and dawsons creek. I have an extensive collection of tv show box sets

Food - Im really into coke zero, starburst sucks, subway cookies, kfc chips, wallis cinemas popcorn and lots of other unhealthy stuff

In general - You'll usually find mesleeping in really late and pissing off my parents and wearing jeans all the time

I am off to Sydney for a party weekend and then Qld to a friends holi house on the beach...Sydney is so busy...I find it a bit scary and not so friendly... maybe those people should be painted purple for u!!! and i could never quite get the exact colour of aubergine in my mind...some people call it burgundy or blue...its true! check on the net!!

I love this sponge cake which is so sky high and has custard running in a marble like way all the way thru it...and lemon tart...oh and a greek cake called galaktoboureko...pastry, custard and syrup...yummmy...and chocky of course...and those cute little butterfly cakes my grand ma used to make....

I love the smell of black coffe, but it tastes awful. Though I truly do like coffee though, just with lots of milk, a bit of sugar or just things like... cappuchio and stuff...

I think i am addicted to tea, i bloody love the stuff! I'd say i get 90% of my water intake from tea. I do drink coffee too but i really have to crave it or need it (i.e if i'm tired and need a massive caffeine fix)

Oh and i have a t-shirt that says " I love tea" if that's not addiction, i don't know what is ;)

The iced fruit drinks from Starbucks and Costa. So delicious and no matter how hard I try they don't taste the same when I try to make them at home. They must have a secret ingredient that I'm missing when they make it. Hopefully not spit.
