just read this on da channel v website....
The sexy singer of Garbage, Shirley Manson, has confirmed the band will take an 'indefinite break' following their current tour. The happy side of this sad news is Australia may host their final shows ever! "We always swore if it wasn't 100 per cent fun we'd stop it," Manson said. "So that's what we've decided to do." Diehard fans are flying from across the globe to see the final show on the Australian tour in Perth on October 1.

yeah trouble selling them. that's also why they cancelled their european tour. hordern pavillion was definitely nowhere near full yesterday

perhaps they should re - think ticket prices then? $90 is a lot of money. $65-70 wouldve been about right.
Chrissie

65-70 would've been better for sure but in saying that, it was worth the 90 bucks. :)

ive been to see many big artists and i got oasis tickets for sydney and none of them cost that much. i even got dido tickets for 50. so...90 bucks is far too much.

Well, it is Dido. Garbage have been around for a lot longer with more songs and what not. In the end if you're a really big fan of whichever artist/s you'll probably end up paying whatever you have to. i would anyway.

hmm Dido is pretty bloody big!!
yeah if you are a fan you do end up paying for it(and i have for garbage tickets)...but the artists shouldnt go overboard...cos there are a lot of fans where that is just out of their price range completely. this year i have seen pete murray, the waifs, missy in london, kylie in glasgow, tegan and sara/little birdy, lior and am going to see garbage next week, oasis in sydney in november and pete murray, the whitlams and missy/ben in adelaide and melbourne next month. i am just lucky i can afford to do so. generally the aussie artists put their concerts at a more acceptable price range. i do understand there should be less costs for australian artists as its their home country...but not 45-55 bucks a head difference. :)

She's big but Garbage are.. jtsu better hehe. They have had more hits too, even though that doesn't really matter but yeah.
There are a lot of Garbage fans in Aus and I guess they thought more peops would buy the tickets, whilst making more money!
Anyway cheaper is still better :)

well..Garbage were brilliant at the Festival Theatre tonight. at first i thought it was an odd venue, but Shirley and the band rocked the place. i think it was sold out..didnt see any spare seats. Anyway it was brilliant - and she said the band are not splitting up. :D

I went to the Hordern Pavillion show- man they were so damn awesome i didn't want to leave when it ended. I paid $110 to go see alice cooper but i'd pay more to go and see Garbage again. Just thinkin bout it makes me want to go back and see it all again...sigh...

$90 garbage tickets almost makes me cringe as much as $90 nickelback tickets.
